Seven Weeks

Hard to believe James is seven weeks already. He is getting more fun everyday. He is awake a lot of the day and full of smiles when he is awake. He loves hanging out with his daddy and especially loves falling asleep on his daddy’s chest. He seems to like it when we read books and smiles constantly when I sing for him. He is holding his head up really well these days. He has really gotten into a nice routine which makes running errands much easier. We have been spending a lot of time poolside as the heat is creeping up here in Tucson. He is for sure getting bigger but I don’t know how much he weighs. We have his two month check up next week so we will see next week. People always say how tiny he looks but compared to how small he was seven weeks ago he looks huge to me! His relaxed, fun personality is coming out more and more each day! Here are some recent pictures:

The Fullness of Life

The past few weeks I feel as if I cannot stop smiling. The joy I feel is indescribable. Life is so sweet right now and I could not be more thankful to the Lord for all he has blessed me with. Here is just a short list of what I am thankful for currently:
-My health. After some complications at the end of pregnancy and some that lingered afterwards as well. I am now back to good health and even back to exercising. Exercising always keeps me more sane and lifts me up.
-My family. I am so blessed by my family. I especially love that my parents are so close and I love watching them as grandparents. So fun!
– My friends. I have amazing friends. So many of them have come by and spent time with me in this new stage. Also many of them are in exciting times too getting married or having babies. It is so fun to celebrate the joys of life with them.
-Time. Having time off of work to spend with family, friends and of course James. Time for planning meals, having quiet times, reading books, taking naps and praising the Lord for what He has given me.
– My Sweet Baby James. Children truly are a blessing from the Lord. I am falling more in love with him everyday.
– My husband. I seriously could not have asked for a better husband. He loves me so well and it is so fun to watch him as a daddy.
– The Presence of the Lord. Since l have had time to slow down a bit I have had time to feel the presence of the Lord. Time to sit, pray and be thankful. What a gift this time has been so far.

I could not be more grateful in this time and cannot wait to see what more is in store in this phase of life.

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10

Six Weeks!

Wow! They sure aren’t kidding when they say it goes by fast. Hard to believe James is already 6 weeks old. He has grown and changed so much in these weeks. It is so much fun to watch him develop and start to show his personality. He is really smiling a lot now and will smile for just about anyone when he is awake and happy. I must say that I think that Austin and I have been quite spoiled by Mr. James. He is a pretty easy baby. He cries when he is hungry, needs a diaper change or is tired but that is about it. He is sleeping really well which is a major blessing! I love sleep! I can tell he is growing because he is getting heavier to hold for me. I better develop my arm muscles quick! James and I spend time reading books, playing on the floor, playing the piano listening to music, running errands and taking good naps. He is such a blessing in so many ways I could have never imagined before.

Well here are some pictures from the past week. Enjoy!

My First Easter

Well James celebrated his very first holiday and I could not be more happy that his first holiday was Easter! Easter is the perfect picture of new life and the gift of birth is such a great reminder of that! We went to church and enjoyed the wonderful music and celebrating the Resurrection! Hallelujah HE IS RISEN! After church we had a traditional ham and potatoes lunch from AJ’s and walked around the mall for a bit enjoying the out doors. We then went to Granny and Grandpa’s house hung out and took a nap. Then because it is getting quite warm around here we spent some time poolside at the Racquet Club. James LOVES the water and really liked his first swim in the baby pool. We ended the day having a delicious dinner with our friends Peter and Ani. God is so good and we are so grateful!

One Month Photos

So I know that 4 weeks is a month but I am switching to the month photo’s with the bear now instead of weeks so we are keeping it easy and going with the 6th of each month. James has started to track his mobile in his room and smiles when he watches it which is very cute. He is holding his head up for longer and longer amounts of time. He is beginning to push up with his arms while on his stomach. He really likes being in water. He is still pretty chill but don’t mess around when he is hungry because he won’t let you forget!

Week 4

James is getting bigger by the second it seems. He is four weeks old today. I will however be switching to monthly updates as of the 6th since it is easier to remember that than go by weeks.
This week James has started to find his thumb for sucking which seems to be something that he really likes to do. He got to spend lots of time with Grandma Marty as she came out and spent some quality time with her new baby grandson. He enjoyed being held and rocked to sleep by her everyday.
He really likes to be awake when people are around and wants to see what is going on.
We took our first trip to the zoo thanks to my Godmother Denice who got us a family zoo pass. Both grandmas got to join us at the zoo and get a good look at the new elephant enclosure that just opened this week.
What a great week!

Look at those dimples! (And yes we have finished watching 73 episodes of Cake Boss. Ha Ha.)
