Update Time

We have been busy these last few weeks doing all sorts of random things. I have been learning how to do all sorts of new things to help Austin out with the business. I am now pretty well versed in quick books online and can even do all the backend work to make a website. Pretty Good!

James and I have been busy hanging out with friends which has been so fun! We have spent lots of time at the pool as the temperatures are well over 100 degrees everyday right now. We found a house! We just finished the process of inspections but so far so good! Prayers that everything will continue to go well would be appreciated! Closing date is set for July 17th. Which means we are moving in just a few weeks! Austin and I are continuing our training for an Olympic distance triathlon. It is August 12th so we have some more time for training. Unfortunately the heat keeps us to indoor training most of the time. Not quite the same but better than nothing.

James is growing like a weed and we are falling more in love everyday! He is laughing now but still only for certain people. For some reason my dad can always get him going. It is super cute! He is talking up a storm! He likes to play tug of war with his toys now. He is such a joy!!!

That is pretty much it for now. Here are some pictures to go with the updates!

Father’s Day Weekend Getaway

After a far too long hiatus, we finally made it back up to my parents cabin for the weekend. With the summer temperatures rising more and more each day here in Tucson, it was wonderful to get out of the heat. It was also James’ first trip to the cabin, first of many I’m sure.

James was great in the car which encourages us to do more road trips with the babe. We spent our time relaxing, reading, playing with the baby and enjoying time with my parents.

We also celebrated Austin’s first Father’s Day and Father’s Day for my daddy too. I made strawberry rhubarb pie as requested by Austin. I had never made nor tasted this pie so it was a bit of a gamble. Thank goodness for google and online recipes. I combined a few I found and the pie turned out fabulous! Austin got to enjoy lots of time with sweet baby James.

When we came home we went swimming at the racquet club. James LOVES the water. He has recently started laughing but I have only seen him do it with my dad. However, Austin said he was laughing while playing in he water today. I guess we have a water baby on our hands.

It was so nice to get away and enjoy the cooler mountain weather. Happy first Father’s Day Austin and happy Father’s Day Daddy!!! I’m so blessed to have such wonderful men in my life!

Pool time! My favorite!

The McTovars : )

Life has been super busy the past few weeks but in the best way possible! I have been helping prepare for one of my best friend’s, Kristin’s wedding. Kristin and I met my sophomore year or college as she needed a place to live and I needed roommates. She and two other girls moved in that fall. I can honestly say it was the best year I had roommate wise in all of my years in college and much of it had to do with Kristin and how well she loves those around her. I have been so blessed by her friendship over the past 8 years.

And it gets better. She is married to Mr. Alex Tovar who I went to high school with, and who Austin has been on a small group for many years. The two could not be more perfect for each other!

We spent the past couple weeks making center pieces, signs and making sure all the details we taken care of. It was a lot of fun but reminded me just how much work weddings are! The wedding went off without a hitch and the reception was a blast! Congrats
Mr. and Mrs. Tovar!!

3 Months!!

James is three months today. He is getting cuter, chubbier and more fun by the day. He has started to grab things and bat at toys that are in front I him. He is squealing and talking up a storm. He is super close to laughing. He now successfully is sucking his thumb and hand when the binky falls out which is nice when it falls out during a car ride. He has officially been in two different nurseries and both of them called him an “angel baby.” It makes it a lot easier to drop him off when I know he is a good baby for other people too. He is still a laid back guy who likes to soak in everything around him. We have been busy this month with weddings, training for a triathlon, hanging out with friends and looking for a new house. I could not be more grateful for this time and the ability to stay home with my little one.

Here is a much needed picture update.
